Commuters will witness delays on Sunday, February 15, as all three major suburban railway lines, including Central, Western and Harbour, will undergo scheduled Sunday Mega Blocks. The essential maintenance work, which includes track repairs, signalling, and overhead wire work, will result in significant diversions, cancellations, and delays throughout the daytime.

While the Trans-Harbour and Uran lines will remain unaffected, passengers on the primary corridors should expect travel times to increase by at least 15 to 20 minutes.

Central Line

The Central Railway (CR) will operate a block on the Matunga–Mulund Up and Down fast lines from 11:05 am to 3:45 pm. Fast trains departing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) between 10:36 am and 3:10 pm will be diverted to the slow line at Matunga railway station. These services will halt at all intermediate stations before being re-diverted to the fast track at Mulund.

Fast trains leaving Thane between 11:03 am and 3:38 pm will run on the slow line between Mulund and Matunga. All diverted fast trains are expected to arrive at their destinations approximately 15 minutes behind schedule.

Harbour Line

The most significant disruption will occur on the Harbour Line, where services between Kurla and Vashi will be suspended in both directions from 11:10 am to 4:10 pm. All services from CSMT to Vashi, Belapur, and Panvel between 10:34 am and 3:36 pm, as well as Up services from Panvel/Vashi to CSMT between 10:17 am and 3:47 pm, stand cancelled.

To assist commuters, special shuttle services will operate on the CSMT–Kurla and Vashi–Panvel sections during the block. Harbour line passengers are permitted to travel via the Trans-Harbour line (Thane–Vashi/Nerul) from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Western Line

The Western Railway has announced a four-hour "Jumbo Block" on the Up fast and 5th lines between Ram Mandir and Borivali from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. All Up Fast line trains will be shifted to the Up Slow (6th) line between Borivali and Andheri. Fifth-line trains will operate on the Down Fast line during this period. Some suburban services will be cancelled entirely, while several Andheri and Borivali-bound Harbour line services will terminate at Goregaon.
