In a viral video posted by a user on X (formerly known as Twitter), some passengers were seen walking on the tracks after the train services came to a halt. However, the video does not specify the reasons for the train getting stuck or the nature of the technical issue leading to the disruption.
Such incidents can occur due to various reasons, including technical glitches, signal failures, or other operational challenges. The disruption has affected the line, and currently, Metro services are operational only between Dahanukar Wadi and Andheri West.
The disruption was acknowledged, and a statement from the Mumbai Metro management expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to the passengers during the interruption. The technical issue resulted in a temporary halt in services along the affected route.
Mumbai Metro authorities issued an official apology, saying, "We apologize for the inconvenience caused to our passengers. There was a technical glitch that caused a halt between Eksar and Mandapeshwar. However, we are pleased to inform you that the issue has been resolved, and our services are now running smoothly, albeit with a slight delay between Andheri East and Andheri West. Thank you for your understanding".
