A young woman among two MBA students died due to a suspected drug overdose at a live music concert in Mumbai's Goregaon. Both victims were in their twenties and were pursuing MBA studies. According to information, around 2,000 people attended a live music concert which was organised at the Nesco compound in Goregaon East.
During the event, the two students reportedly felt unwell. The male student was admitted to Life Line Hospital in Goregaon West, where he died during treatment on Monday, April 13. The female student was initially treated at Trauma Care Hospital and later shifted to a private hospital in the city, where she also succumbed.
Both were students at a reputed management college in South Mumbai and had attended the concert along with a group of 15 classmates. Their identities have not been disclosed by the police. According to an initial investigation by the police, the duo is suspected to have consumed ecstasy pills before and during the concert. Their condition deteriorated during the event, leading to their hospitalisation.

A case has been registered at Vanrai police station. Police have arrested five people in connection with the incident, including two MBA students accused of supplying the drugs.
During questioning, friends of the victims revealed that two classmates had allegedly provided the ecstasy pills, leading to their arrest.
Three others linked to the concert’s organisation, including a senior official at the venue, have also been arrested. Police said the drugs were brought into the venue and consumed due to inadequate security and precautionary measures.
