Mumbai: A 11-year-old boy leg got fractured after and autorickshaw driver suddenly took a U-turn in Borivali West. This tragic accident occurred on Monday, January 26, 2026. After the accident boy sustained ankle fracture which requires surgery. FIR has been registered against the autorickshaw driver.
Purushottam Singhal, a resident of a housing society on DN Mhatre Road in Borivali West, has registered a complaint. According to an FPJ report, his son Krushnam left their residence to buy chocolate and was walking along the road on January 26 between 10:30 am and 11:00 am near gate of Siddhivinayak Society when an autorickshaw coming from Om Shanti Chowk towards Eksar area allegedly took a sudden U-turn while being driven recklessly.
The vehicle ran over Krushnam's left leg, causing severe bleeding. The driver then took him to his family, who rushed him to Lotus Hospital in the same autorickshaw. Doctors admitted him to the ICU after preliminary tests revealed a fractured left ankle requiring surgery.
In separate incident, a 37-year-old man lost his life on Saturday afternoon after being run over by the rear wheel of a dumper truck near the Mulund Colony vegetable and fish market on Guru Gobind Singh Marg, off LBS Marg in Mumbai, reported *Mid Day*. The deceased was identified as Suresh Babu Rajput. Police said the dumper driver, Brijesh Somnath Yadav (26), has been taken into custody as preliminary investigations point towards possible negligence.
However, some local autorickshaw drivers claimed Rajput may have suddenly come in front of the vehicle, suggesting a possible suicide attempt, though officials said the exact circumstances are still unclear.
