Waterlogging was also seen between tracks at Sion Railway station, which delayed several local trains in the Central line for 15 to 20 minutes. Even Harbour line servers were hit as tracks between Guru Tegh Bahadur Nagar (GTB) railway and Kurla station were filled with rainwater.

According to the M-Indicator alert, which shows Mumbai's local train timetable, services on the fast line from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Kalyan railway station are 25 minutes late, while services from Kalyan to CSMT are 10 minutes late on Saturday.

City woke up with heavy rainfall and cloudy skies threatening, as roads and railways witnessed traffic jams during peak hours, as showers lashed several areas, leading to waterlogging at major junctions. Due to overnight continuous rains, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) upgraded the alert from orange to red, expecting heavy to very heavy rainfall to continue throughout the day. The weather department also issued a red alert for the nonboring Raigad district, predicting Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places.
