Two women were injured on Monday night, June 16, when the wall of an under-construction building collapsed in Mumbai's Bandra East area. The incident occurred in a chawl at Indira Krupa Housing Society, near Tarina School, after a wall fell onto an adjacent room. The incident occurred at around 11:34 pm on Monday, and was reported to authorities shortly after midnight. After receiving the information, Multiple agencies, including the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), local police, 108 ambulance services, and BMC ward staff.

The injured identified as Komal Yewle (25) and Pranita Yewle (28) were quickly rescued from the debris and rushed to Gurunanak Hospital where they are currently receiving treatment. Komal reported to be in critical condition, while Pranita Yewle is stable. The BMC and local police have cordoned off the area and are assessing the safety of adjacent buildings.
Earlier on Monday, several areas, including Bandra East, were waterlogged due to continued heavy rainfall across the city. Suburban train services on the Central and Western Railway lines were also running behind schedule due to water stranded between tracks.
The metro service on the Ghatkopar-Andheri-Versova line was briefly disrupted in the afternoon after a plastic sheet fell on overhead wires at Azad Nagar station.
