Mumbai Weather Update: IMD Predicts Hot and Humid Conditions in Thane, Raigad for Today
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow alerts and predicted hot and humid conditions likely in Mumbai and nearby districts of Maharashtra, including Thane and Raigad, on Tuesday, March 24. According to the forecast for today, hot and humid conditions in isolated pockets.
Mumbai recorded the highest March 2026 temperature in five years. On March 10, the city recorded the highest temperature in five years with 40 degrees Celsius.

Hot day and Humid conditions very likely to prevail in isolated pockets in the districts of South Konkan-Goa.
On Monday, IMD's Santacruz observatory recorded a temperature of 36.5 degrees Celsius and indicated the maximum temperature is likely to rise in the coming days to 38 degrees. The Coastal Maharashtra region is likely to witness hot and dry weather conditions.

The weather department forecasted rainfall with thundershowers, lightning, and gusty winds up to 40 to 50 kmph for several districts of Maharashtra, including for Satara, Sangli, Solapur, Latur, and Dharashiv.
Mumbaikars have been grappling with heat since the beginning of March. Earlier, the city experienced two heatwaves. However, between March 15 and 21, the maximum temperature saw a dip, falling from around 36°C to nearly 32.3 degrees Celsius, providing some relief for about a week.
The sky is expected to remain mostly clear over Mumbai city and its suburbs. There is a strong possibility of heatwave conditions, especially in the suburbs. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 38 degrees Celsius and 22 degrees Celsius, respectively.
