CPS (KR) celebrates International Yoga Day

The 7th International Yoga Day themed ‘Yoga for Well Being’ was observed by Centre Point School, Katol Road with an online session for students along with their parents and teachers.

The session started with a commentary on the history of Yoga and was followed by warm up exercises conducted by Namrata Patel.

Demonstration of the various Asanas was done by Hemant Trivedi and Pravin Rohad, the school PTIs. The yoga enthusiasts along with their parents logged in and enjoyed the invigorating experience, challenging their flexibility.

The yoga instructors performed the Asanas to music by the music teachers including Kapil Deshmukh, Rajendra Doke and Pankaj Rangari. A running commentary by Bhagyashree Soman, Alister Anthony and Preeti Bahadure, PTIs of the school, made the session even more interesting. The technical requirement was managed by Saikat Joarder, Anil Lambat, Vinaybodhi Chikate and Ravi Mendhe, PTIs of the CPS Katol Road Sports Department A few of the interesting asanas performed included Taad Asanas, Surya Namaskar, Padmasan and also Pranayam. The session ended with congratulatory messages and comments from parents, teachers and students who attended the session.

The PTIs received guidance and encouragement for this event from principal Shilpee Ganguly and HOD sports Mangesh Pandit.
