Ganeshpeth depot ranks 2nd in State

The Petroleum Conservation and Research Association (PCRA) and Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has awarded 2nd rank to the Ganeshpeth bus depot of Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC). The Ganeshpeth depot has saved around 87,000 liters of diesel in the year 2019-20.

The MSRTC undertook various initiatives to save diesel during the year, which included educating drivers on diesel saving, celebrating Diesel Saving Week, ensuring that diesel does not leak, checking the air pressure in the tyres from time to time and limiting the speed of the MSRTC buses.

The first rank has been awarded to Solapur depot, the second rank is being given to Ganeshpeth depot and the third rank has been given to Aurangabad depot. The managing director of MSRTC has informed Ganeshpeth depot that it is ranked second in the state. Ganeshpeth depot will be felicitated in an award ceremony soon.

Emphasis on saving diesel

Various activities are implemented at Ganeshpeth depot to save diesel. Drivers are encouraged to save diesel from time-to-time. The depot is ranked second in the state for saving 87,000 liters of diesel. Efforts will be made to save more diesel in future also.
