A self defence webinar for the girls was conducted by Central India Asian Karate Federation Judge Dr.Zakir S.Khan who is also the president of Karate-Do Association of Nagpur District treasurer of Karate Maharashtra Sports Association and the Director Physical Education ,Anjuman College of Engineering & Technology, Sadar.

Principal Shraddha Anilkumar and Head of the Department, Department of Physical Education- Dayanand Arya Kanya Mahavidyala, Jaripatka Dr. Meena Narad were also present on the occasion. The introduction of the webinar was made by Dr Shraddha Anilkumar. Rape is the fourth most common crime against women in India According to the 2019 annual report of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB), 32033 rape cases were registered across the country, or an average of 88 cases daily, On the other hand, rapes by juveniles remained high in India with 3 minors being arrested for rape, assault and attempted violence on women and girls each day in 2019. The main goal of webinar was to strengthen girl''s capacity to defend themselves against potential attacks.

A large number of participants learned self defence techniques during the webinar. Dr. Meena Narad proposed a vote of thanks
