Six bike-borne groups open fire near Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) headquarters on the Kothi Road area in Nagpur's Mahal. The incident was captured on CCTV and since then, it's been going viral. The incident created panic and fear across the locality.

According to local reports, the incident occurred at around 11.30 pm on Sunday, May 17, with six unidentified persons arriving on three motorcycles and opening fire in the area, where the RSS headquarters is 1.5 km.

Police said a preliminary investigation revealed that Ravi Mohto and Ganga Kakade allegedly opened fire following a dispute involving complainant Saurabh. According to police, the accused opened fire with the intention of establishing dominance and spreading terror in the area. Investigators suspect there was also an internal dispute among the accused.

Police further said that Ravi Mohto, Ganga Kakade and other accused have previous criminal records related to drug trafficking and illegal possession cases. Given their criminal background, the police are treating the matter seriously.

A team from Kotwali Police Station reached the spot soon after the incident and launched an investigation. Efforts are underway to trace the accused, while CCTV footage is being examined and evidence collected. The incident has created fear among residents of the Mahal area, following which police patrolling has been intensified.
