VCA to hold open trials 'Bowlers Ki Khoj'

This initiative, to be held under the aegis of the upcoming Vidarbha Premier League Season 2.

Former India International and Chairman of the VPL Governing Council, Prashant Vaidya and former chairman of the BCCI’s Selection Committee, Chetan Sharma and former national selector Subroto Banerjee as well as members of the VCA’s Senior, Junior and Women’s Selection Committees will be among those who will oversee the trials and encourage aspiring bowlers, both boys and girls, to showcase their skills.

The trials are open to bowlers aged between 16 and 25 years among males and 15 to 23 years among females, and will be conducted on-site at each district venue as per the schedule.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to advanced training camps, where they will receive specialized coaching, fitness guidance, and mentorship from senior professionals. The selected bowlers will get a chance to be part of the VPL Season 2, scheduled to be played from June 1-15, 2026. Participants are advised to report to the respective venues in cricketing attire (preferably white) and valid age-proof documents.
