She became first-ever visually impaired swimmer, male or female, in the world to achieve the feat. Gadkari appreciated effort and congratulated the 17-year-old swimmer. He also wished that Ishwari establishes more world records in the future. On the occasion, Ishwari, her parents Kamlesh andAruna,and NIS coach Sanjay Batwe, expressed their gratitude towards Gadkari for his help during the entire campaign. Later in the day, Ishwari, Kamlesh and Batwe were felicitated by Neeta Thakre on behalf of Nagpur Municipal Corporation. Thakre congratulated Ishwari and wished her all the best for the future. NMC Sports Committee Chairperson Darshani Dhawad and NMC Sports Officer Dr Piyush Ambulkar were present on the occasion.
