Preparations for the winter session of state legislature have begun amid Covid-19 pandemic. The winter session of the state legislature will begin from December 7 and it will last for two weeks.

It may be mentioned here that in view of the increasing Covid infection in the city, the Congress has opposed the winter session in Nagpur. Leader of the Opposition in the assembly Devendra Fadnavis also said that after reviewing the situation on November 15, the future of the session should be decided. Amidst all this, assembly speaker Nana Patole has clarified that the winter session will be held in Nagpur only on scheduled date. Meanwhile, preparations for the winter session have started. Now a two-week program has also been revealed. Legislature sources said that the final decision on the duration of the session will be taken in the meeting of the legislative affairs advisory committee on December 16. During the session, it is claimed to take precaution in view of Covid-19.

Question hour will also be held

The question hour was not held during the monsoon session of the state legislature in view of the Covid-19. The monsoon session was also finished in two days. However, attempt is being made to hold the session as before. Preparations are also being made for holding the question hour. The legislature secretariat has asked the MLAs to send their questions by October 19. On November 10, questions will be selected from the lottery.
