Two COVID-19 cases were reported in Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) in the past 24 hours, taking the total active cases to 151 on Friday.

According to the paramilitary force, as many as 11 ITBP personnel have recovered from the deadly diseases in the last 24 hours. A total of 22 people have turned negative till now.

Out of the total number of active cases, 126 are in CAPF Referral Hospital in Greater Noida, while 26 are lodged in AIIMS, Jhajjar and one in Delhi's LNJP Hospital. "The condition of all admitted is stable," ITBP said in a statement.

At present, different CAPFs including ITBP, BSF, CRPF, CISF, NSG and some family members are admitted in CAPF Referral Hospital.

Four family members of the ITBP officials are also lodged in it. It has emerged as a hub for treating coronavirus-affected personnel from not just the ITBP but different paramilitary forces. As many as 28 BSF, five CRPF, one CISF, NSG and civilian each are admitted.

Meanwhile, 20 jawans of CAPFs who have recovered from Covid-19 infection were discharged today from the referral hospital.

DG ITBP S. S. Deswal presented a rose and an ITBP calendar to all recovered jawans on the occasion and wished them good health.

Out of those discharged today, 17 personnel belong to the ITBP and three are from the BSF. These personnel were infected during performing duties in different parts of the national Capital in the last week of April 2020.

Speaking on the occasion, Deswal said that the Doctors and other medical staff serving at the CAPF Referral Hospital have done a remarkable job in a challenging scenario.

He said the hospital has deployed its resources for the treatment of the Covid-19 positive personnel in the CAPFs in a remarkable manner. The ITBP has converted this hospital into a Covid-19 treatment facility.

Managed by ITBP, the 200-bed CAPF Referral Hospital in Greater Noida is known for best medical facilities in the lines of super specialty Hospitals for the CAPF personnel. Specialist senior Doctors of the CAPFs serve here.

A facility of telemedicine is also available in the hospital. It was inaugurated in 2018. This is the first hospital for the CAPFs which started the treatment of Covid19 positive cases in the country.
