India is currently dealing with a devastating second Covid-19 wave that has swept through the nation, crushing the country's health infrastructure and overburdening frontline medical workers.

The covid situation in Uttar Pradesh is getting worse day by day as it has entered rural areas. At least 64 people have been killed in the last 20 days in two villages in Agra. All of them first developed a fever, then difficulty breathing, and later died. The health department has come under pressure over the deaths of 64 people in two villages. Of the 100 people in the village who underwent corona test, 27 reported positive.

Kurgwan is a village in Etmadpur, about 40 km from Agra. 14 people have died here in the last 20 days. According to the villagers, people have died due to cough-cold-fever and difficulty in breathing. The people of this village were recently tested for corona. About 100 samples were taken at that time and 27 of them were found to be corona positive. People who have tested positive have been kept in the isolation center of a primary school in Kurgwan. There are no facilities in this isolation center. This has made the condition of the 65-year-olds in the isolation center even more serious. So the elderly have now been shifted to Agra Hospital.

On the other hand, there is no awareness among the villagers. People who have reported positive are not ready to go to the city hospital out of fear. Some villagers said that those whose corona report has been positive also walk around the village, as well as these people do not sit in one place in the isolation center. Meanwhile, another village in Agra has witnessed a major outbreak of corona. The name of this village is Bamrauli Katara. The sarpanch of the village, which has a population of about 40,000, said 50 people have died so far. "People's health deteriorates, then they have difficulty breathing and die in a short time," the village sarpanch said.

After repeated pleas, a team from the health department reached the spot and tested the corona of 46 people, out of which two reported to be corona positive. Due to the large population of the village, complete corona testing has not yet taken place.

Meanwhile, the people of this village are still very carefree. Masks and social distancing are not made parents. The public health center in Bamrauli Katara village has been locked. The public health center was set up five years ago. Nurses and pharmacists used to come here, but now no one comes here, villagers said.
