A man was beaten by staff members at Rajasthan’s Ajmer Sharif Dargah after he allegedly jumped into the ‘Badi Deg’ inside the shrine premises. The incident occurred on Sunday and was captured on CCTV cameras installed inside the premises, prompting an investigation by authorities.

A CCTV video of the incident, which has gone viral on social media, shows the man suddenly approaching and jumping into the large cauldron (‘Badi Deg’) while attendants and staff members attempted to stop him. However, he managed to jump into the cauldron before being restrained.

In the video, another man, reportedly a shrine staff member, is seen jumping into the cauldron and assaulting the man before forcing him to come out. The staff member was later seen taking him away after beating him.
