A massive fire broke out at an electrical goods warehouse on the second floor of a house opposite DS College under the Gandhi Park police station area in Uttar Pradesh's Aligarh district on Friday night, April 18, which triggered panic among residents.
The flames spread rapidly, prompting people in nearby houses to rush out for safety. Two fire brigade vehicles reached the spot soon after the incident was reported, and the blaze was brought under control after nearly an hour of firefighting. The blaze, reportedly caused by a short circuit on the second floor, engulfed the premises and destroyed goods worth lakhs.

Fire Station Officer Sanjeev Kumar Singh said the fire was reported around 10:15 pm, following which the team immediately reached the location and began operations.

Chief Fire Officer Mukiesh Kumar said, "We received information about a fire near DS College on Etah Road. Following the information, our Fire Station Officer, along with two fire tenders, rushed to the spot. On arrival, we found that a house near DS College had caught fire..."
The fire broke out on the second floor of a house owned by Lucky Jindal, who runs Bella Traders. While the family resides on the ground floor, the second floor was used to store plastic coolers and fans. The blaze engulfed the entire stock, destroying goods worth lakhs of rupees. No casualties were reported, but the financial loss is significant. Officials said the timely response helped prevent a major disaster.
