A shocking incident of crime has come to light from Bengaluru were a 42-year-old man allegedly killed his paralysed mother by pushing her from the building's fourth floor. This horrific crime occurred on Sunday, April 12, 2026, afternoon at BEML Layout in RR Nagar.

According to NDTV reports, 72-year-old Savitramma, had been bedridden for the past four to five years and distress over prolonged illness, her son identified as  Venkatesh, pushed her to her death from their residence. Police are investigating the incident and have registered a case. Officials are examining potential motives, including financial aspects, and will conduct a mental health evaluation of the accused.

A 48-year-old man has been taken into custody by the MIDC Police for allegedly trying to murder his wife and attack his son after a domestic quarrel in the Andheri MIDC locality. The incident reportedly stemmed from a disagreement over a mobile phone, which soon spiralled into a violent confrontation inside their residence. Authorities stated that what began as a verbal dispute rapidly intensified, creating a tense situation within the household. The police acted swiftly after receiving information about the altercation. The accused has been booked under relevant sections of the law, and officials have initiated a detailed probe into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Santosh Rawate allegedly attacked his wife, Neeta Rawate, with a sharp weapon during an argument over her mobile phone, also injuring their son who tried to intervene. Neighbors, alerted by the commotion, called the police, preventing further escalation. Neeta was hospitalized with severe injuries and is under observation. Police arrested Santosh for attempted murder; he is in police custody while the investigation continues. Their seven-year-old son was present during the incident.
