Speaking to the media, Gupta said the Opposition had sent notices to the Assembly to take up the supply of polluted potable water by Delhi Jal Board (DJB), uncontrolled pollution posing serious threat to public health, rising sewer deaths and others for discussion in the House.

The two-day session of the Assembly will begin on Monday.

"The other issues required to be discussed include misinformation campaign launched by the city government on regularisation of unauthorised colonies and ownership rights to property holders, scam in purchase of 1,000 low-floor CNG buses and Rs 100 crore corruption through Discoms in setting up LED lights in streets," Gupta said.

"If the Assembly fails to allow discussion on these topics, the Opposition will have no choice but to bring in adjournment motion under Rule 59 of the Delhi Assembly," Gupta said.

The Chief Minister was spreading "false narration about important public interest issues and misguiding Delhiites," the BJP leader said and added, the Opposition would not allow the falsehood being spread by Arvind Kejriwal and AAP Leaders.

Gupta said Kejriwal had remained absent from the House for the most part of his five-year term. "The disrespect he has shown to the Assembly is a record in itself," he said.
