A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan allegedly committed suicide inside a camp in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir early Monday, officials said.Head Constable Hari Babu, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, was found hanging inside his post at a camp in Penthi area.The officials said the body was shifted to hospital for postmortem and other legal formalities. The motive behind his taking such an extreme step was not known immediately, the officials said, adding police have started inquest proceedings and further investigation is on. 

A few months ago a similar incident was reported  at the headquarters of the 155th Battalion on the Ferozepur-Fazilka road where a  Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was found hanging.Constable Govind Berwa (35), a resident of Alwar district in Rajasthan, allegedly hanged himself inside the battalion premises.Berwa was posted at the BSF battalion headquarters at Khai Mahal Singh Wala. Berwa is survived by his wife and a son. The body was sent to the civil hospital for post-mortem.
