Chhattisgarh: Major fire erupted at District Education Officer's office in Raipur, creating thick layer of smoke in surrounding area. This incident occurred around  9 pm on Saturday, said police officer. Following the incident fire tenders rushed to the spot and, after considerable effort, managed to bring the fire under control. 

ASP Patel said that after considerable effort, fire has now been completely extinguished. Fortunately their are no casualties reported.

Earlier, on January 13  a massive fire broke out at the Narayan Shukla Dham camp in Sector 5 of the Prayagraj Magh Mela at Triveni Sangam on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. Five fire brigade vehicles rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control after sustained efforts.

Preliminary reports suggest a short circuit may have triggered the blaze. No casualties were reported.
