Coronavirus Alert! Pune Police arrests one for spreading fake video message

The number of novel coronavirus cases in India rose to 110 on Sunday with Uttarakhand reporting its first case and one fresh case each in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, the Union Health Ministry said.The government has strictly warned the citizens not to spread fake news through Whatsapp as it might create panic among the people.

The World Health Organization on March 11 declared the Covid-19 pandemic. It means the virus is spreading around the world very quickly.The number of novel coronavirus cases in India rose to 110 on Sunday with Uttarakhand reporting its first case and one fresh case each in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh, the Union Health Ministry said. Italy recorded its biggest daily death toll from the novel coronavirus, which has now claimed over 6,000 lives worldwide.

The highest number of positive cases has been from Maharashtra. The total till now is 38. The outbreak has created a lot of panic among people and hence they are constantly reading and watching information regarding the virus. Reading and watching too much on the internet is leading sharing of a lot of misinformation and fake news. 

With regards to Covid-10, Pune Police in Maharashtra has arrested one person for spreading fake video message about Coronavirus.

The government has strictly warned the citizens not to spread fake news through Whatsapp as it might create panic among the people.
