A four-year-old boy was admitted to the Child PGI in Noida on Tuesday after nearly a month due to a coronavirus infection. The family examined the boy after he developed corona symptoms. His report came back positve. The boy was later admitted to Bhardwaj Hospital in Sector-29. His condition became critical and he was shifted to the Super Specialty Pediatric and Post Graduate Teaching Institute (Child PGI) in Sector-30 for further treatment.

The hospital and the health department have also been alerted after the boy was found infected with coronavirus. Samples of this child have been sent for re-examination. Also, the child's family and those who came in contact with him are undergoing RTPCR test. Dr Jyotsna Madan, director of Child PGI, said the boy was brought to the hospital around one o'clock in the afternoon, after which he was admitted to the ward after looking at his condition. The child has high fever, cough, cold and his stomach is full of water.

The good news is that the boy's oxygen levels are under control. A special team has been formed to take care of the child. Samples will be sent to the Indian Medical Research Council's (ICMR) testing laboratory to find a variant of the corona that occurred in the boy.

Meanwhile, five new corona patients were found in Gautam Buddha Nagar district on Tuesday, while five patients were discharged from the hospital after recovering. Currently 41 patients are undergoing treatment in the district.

Symptoms include fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, sore throat, diarrhea, loss of smell, loss of taste, symptoms of gastric disease, nausea, vomiting, headache, dry cough and muscle aches in young children. Consult a doctor immediately if these symptoms appear in children.
