Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is likely to announce a curfew for seven days in the nationaal capital. The announcement is expected to be made shortly. 

Keeping in view the rising cases of coronavirus, the Delhi government on Thursday had imposed weekend curfew in the national capital. Addressing a press conference, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a slew of restrictions to contain the spread of the virus in the state which include closer of shopping malls, gyms, spas and auditoriums. However, the movements of essential services have been exempted. The government also decided on shutting down weekly open markets. 

The city on Sunday recorded the biggest jump in its daily COVID-19 tally with 25,462 fresh cases, and 161 fatalities, according to data shared by the health department.
