Amidst the devastating second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, India reported 3.52 lakh fresh coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. This is the highest single-day spike registered since the onset of the pandemic. A total of 3,52,991 new COVID-19 cases, 2,812 related deaths and 2,19,272 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the total active cases to 28,13,658, as per the health ministry update on Monday morning.

India's healthcare infrastructure is reeling under the pressure of the rapidly rising coronavirus cases. The number of covid cas in the country is increasing rapidly. The increasing cases have put tremendous pressure on the health system.

Many people have lost their loved ones to the pandemic. But even bafter loing a loved one due to covid, a few of them have put aside their grief and takenthe initiative to help others. A similar incident has taken place in Ahmedabad. A couple has lost their only child because of Corona. But after the death of the child, they have given a helping hand to save the lives of others in this terrible crisis of Corona. The couple has decided to break their FD of Rs 15 lakh and spend the money for the treatment of the needy. Rasik Mehta and Kalpana Mehta a couple from Ahmedabad, Gujarat are trying to provide all the help to need in the covid crisis.

The Mehta couple lost their only child to covid last year. They had started an FD of Rs 15 lakh for the bright future of their boy. But they lost him and decided to spend that money on people who need help during the covid time. Rasik Mehta and his wife Kalpana started efforts to get timely and better treatment on Corona patients. Mehta's has distributed kits and other materials to more than 200 patients in quarantine. They have also vaccinated more than 350 people at their own expense to prevent corona. The Mehta couple searches every morning for people who really need help with treatment during the Corona period.
