Amaravati, April 15 Andhra Pradesh minister Nara Lokesh said on Wednesday that he is ‘deeply honored’ to be appointed as the National Working President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

“Grateful to our party cadre, whose unwavering belief has shaped my journey, and to our leader Shri N. Chandrababu Naidu garu for his constant guidance and trust,” Lokesh posted on ‘X’ hours after the announcement by the party.

“From being a karyakarta to taking on this responsibility, every step has been a learning built on your support, struggles, and sacrifices. I dedicate my life to the ideals of our party and to the people of Andhra Pradesh, and I will work tirelessly to strengthen our movement and serve our state with honesty, commitment, and purpose. This is not just a position, but a lifelong responsibility,” said Lokesh, who is son of TDP national president and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

Lokesh, also a minister in the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, handles the portfolios of human resources development, information technology and electronics.

Meanwhile, Chandrababu Naidu has congratulated to all the leaders included in the new committees of the Telugu Desam Party.

“We have constituted the Politburo, national, and state committees by honoring our seniors, providing opportunities to newcomers, and upholding social justice. We have appointed the party committees taking into account factors such as loyalty to the party, the spirit of hard work, and the infusion of young blood,” the TDP chief posted on ‘X’.

“I hope these new committees will work even more effectively to take the government's programs to the people as a party that continuously aspires for the state's development. Working in the Telugu Desam Party means... working for the state's development—with the great resolve that this entails, I hope you will successfully carry out the responsibilities entrusted to you,” he added.

Meanwhile, MP

Shabari is the first-ever woman national general secretary of the TDP.

“I will strive with full dedication, commitment, and responsibility to strengthen the party and work tirelessly for the people,” she said.
