At least two people were killed after a bus carrying 25 passengers overturned near Jhandewalan metro station in the Karol Bagh area of Delhi in the early hours of Wednesday, March 25. The injured were rushed to the nearby hospitals for treatment.

An eyewitness told the news agency IANS that the accident occurred at around 1.30 am on Wednesday. He said it took more than 2 hours to pull the bus back on the wheels. He further stated that one woman and a child were stuck underneath an overturned bus. At least 8 to 10 people were seriously injured in the accident.

Another eyewitness said that the bus was in a high speed, approximately 80 to 100 kmph and suddenly overturned. He said several passengers inside the bus were bleeding and police and fire brigade vehicles reached the spot.  The ambulance took them to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital (RMLH).

"This incident occurred around 1:30 AM. We were resting nearby when the bus came at very high speed with two people on board, lost balance, and overturned twice," another eyewitness told IANS.
