Delhi: A shocking incident of crime has come to light where a 35-year-old man allegedly murdered his tenant over suspicion of affair. This incident occurred in Delhi's Shalimar Bagh area on Tuesday April 28, 2026. The accused identified as Virender, a resident of Indira Colony, later surrendered to the police on Tuesday and confessed to the killing of 29-year-old Kanhaiya, they said.

Police and the accused arrived at the Indira Colony location, where they discovered the victim on a bed with a slit throat and multiple stab wounds. The preliminary investigation indicates Virender suspected the victim of having an affair with his wife, which allegedly led to the attack. CCTV footage confirms the accused was present at the scene around the time of the incident.

A crime team and forensic science laboratory experts, along with an executive magistrate, inspected the scene and collected evidence. The body has been shifted to a hospital for a postmortem. A case under relevant sections of the BNS has been registered at Shalimar Bagh police station, and further investigation is underway, the police added.
