Delhi Horror: Family of Four Found Dead in Samaypur Badli; Husband on the Run

Four members of a family, including a woman and her three children, were found dead on Wednesday morning at their house in Delhi’s Samaypur Badli area, police said. The husband, who works as a distributor at Azadpur Mandi, is suspected to have killed all four, according to a preliminary investigation. He has been absconding since the incident. Further details are awaited. This is the second mother-child murder case reported from Delhi in a span of three days. In a separate incident, a 35-year-old woman and her six-year-old daughter were brutally murdered, and their bodies were stuffed into a bed box at their residence in southeast Delhi’s Sarita Vihar.

Police have identified a neighbour as the prime suspect and are investigating whether he acted in rage after the woman reportedly rejected his advances. Police said a PCR call was received around 10.30pm on Friday reporting the discovery of two bodies at a residence in Aali Vihar. A police team from the local station went to the house and found the bodies concealed in a bed storage box. The bodies were taken to AIIMS. While initial medical examinations showed no obvious external wounds, a postmortem examination indicated the cause of death as strangulation and smothering.

Preliminary inquiry suggests that a man named Deen Dayal, 35, is responsible for the murders. Deen Dayal, an accountant, is the nephew of Jyoti's husband and used to live in the same building as the victims. He is presently absconding. The motive behind the gruesome murders is yet to be ascertained. Police have launched a manhunt to nab the accused and uncover the circumstances that led to the crime.A case has been registered under Section 103(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
