Delhi jolted by earthquake for the second time in 2 days

A low-intesnity earthquake of 2.7 magnitude jolted the national capital yet again on Monday. There were, however, no reports of any damage. For a second day in a row, the residents of Delhi felt tremors around Monday afternoon. The National Centre for Seismology said the earthquake occurred at 1.26 pm at a depth of 5 kilometres.

On Sunday, an earthquake of magnitude 3.5 with epicentre in the national capital had shaken the region. According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), the quake had occurred at 5.45 pm.The tremors were also felt in neighbouring Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. There were no reports of loss of life or damage to property. "Tremors felt in Delhi. Hope everyone is safe. I pray for the safety of each one of you," Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had tweeted.
