Delhi Peeragarhi Car Murder Case: Baba Kamruddin Held For Triple Murder, Chilling Crime Details Emerge
While probing the mysterious case of three bodies discovered inside a car in Delhi’s Peeragarhi area, the Delhi Police uncovered a far more disturbing chain of crimes. A self-styled cleric and occult practitioner named Baba Kamruddin has been arrested and has allegedly confessed to killing eight people so far. His crimes, carried out under the pretext of black magic rituals, promises of sudden wealth, and supernatural entities like jinn, have shocked the nation. A few days earlier, three individuals—Randhir, Shiv Naresh and Laxmi Devi—were found dead inside a parked vehicle near the Peeragarhi flyover. Investigators later revealed that Kamruddin had fed them sweets laced with aluminium phosphide tablets and sleeping pills, followed by a soft drink. The toxic combination proved instantly fatal, leaving the victims no opportunity to escape from the locked vehicle.
In a chilling revelation, police found that the three victims had met Kamruddin just a day before their deaths. He had allegedly demanded ₹2 lakh from them and sent them away when they failed to arrange the money. The following day, he reportedly executed the murders with calculated precision. During the investigation, officers recovered disturbing material from Laxmi’s mobile phone, including photographs of several young women posing with ritualistic objects. Kamruddin allegedly lured women by claiming that a jinn would possess them, engage in physical relations, and bring showers of wealth into their lives. Tempted by such promises, many women came into contact with him. Authorities are now identifying possible victims of sexual exploitation. Using CCTV footage, police traced his residence. When officers arrived, he initially refused to open the door, citing his children’s illness. Soon after, he attempted to escape by scaling a 17-foot wall but was captured following a swift chase.
Kamruddin reportedly charged ₹7,000 per session and relied on sleight of hand to gain the trust of followers. In one instance, he staged a fake procedure, claiming to remove a kidney stone without surgery. Witnesses said he placed his hand on a man’s abdomen and produced what appeared to be blood. However, a search of his residence revealed that the red substance was merely vermilion powder applied to simulate bleeding. Police recovered significant quantities of vermilion and ritual items from his home. Investigators also noted that most of his targets were Hindus, and all eight individuals whose murders he allegedly confessed to were from the Hindu community. He would instruct followers to switch their phones to flight mode to prevent any recordings. Officials believe he amassed considerable wealth and that his criminal network may extend from Delhi to Firozabad. Further investigations are underway, and more revelations are expected.
