Amid the scorching heatwave Delhi will be facing scheduled power cuts o April 27, 2026. This planned power outages are for the maintenance and infrastructure upgrades by Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (TPDDL). These outages are temporary and are being made to strengthen the electricity network and ensure smoother supply during demand period. 

The major affected areas will include Pitampura, Badli, Kirari, Model Town, Moti Nagar, and Bawana, affecting both residential and industrial pockets.

Area-Wise Power Cut Details

  • Power outages have been scheduled across multiple areas by Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited for maintenance work. In Pitampura, a short-duration outage will take place from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM, affecting parts of F Block in MIA Phase-2, mainly impacting industrial and nearby localities. A similar outage is also scheduled in Badli during the same time and area.
  • In Khera Kalan, residents may experience multiple interruptions throughout the day due to phased maintenance, with outages scheduled between 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Meanwhile, in Kirari, power supply will be disrupted from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM in parts of Dhruv Enclave, affecting residential areas during mid-morning hours.
  • Model Town will see two separate outages—first from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM and then from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM—impacting G-Block JJC and parts of Harijan Basti. In another slot for Pitampura, electricity will be unavailable from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in parts of Tarun Enclave DDA Market, which may temporarily affect commercial activity.
  • Moti Nagar is expected to face a longer outage from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM in parts of A Block, NIA-1, potentially disrupting both industrial and commercial operations. Lastly, in Bawana, power supply will remain suspended from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM in parts of the Kanjhawala Industrial Area, impacting peak working hours for industrial units. 

Important Advisory for Residents: As these outages are planned, residents and businesses should take precautions: charge essential devices, prepare backup lighting, schedule important work outside outage windows, and ensure power backup systems are functional.Final Note:These scheduled power cuts are part of routine maintenance and system upgrades to improve long-term electricity reliability in Delhi. While temporarily inconvenient, they are essential to prevent future disruptions. Residents should stay updated via local electricity providers for any schedule changes or additional information.
