Delhi Power Cut Today: Several Areas to Face Outage For Maintenance Work on February 28; Check Timings
Delhi resident are likely to experience daytime power outages on Saturday,28 February 2026. BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) has announced temporary power outages in several divisions across the capital due to maintenance and technical repair work. As per the BRPL, work will include transformer preventative maintenance, RMU maintenance, LT circuit maintenance, HVDS work, tree trimming on 11 kV feeders, and equipment repair and replacement at some locations.
During this maintenance work power supply will be disrupted for a few hours in the specific areas.

Transformer related maintenance work will be carried out in Sadiq Nagar Sector 1, CPC Doordarshan Complex, and Institutional Area in Hauz Khas. Planned power outages will occur in Kapasherra Extension, Kapasherra Estate, Ghirni Village, and Mehram Nagar in Vasant Kunj for tree trimming and LT circuit work on the 11 kV feeder.Transformer preventive maintenance will disrupt power in the Mayapuri DTC e-bus charging area and Rajouri Garden Extension in Janakpuri.
Outages are also scheduled for Khirki Extension, Block H, Qutub Golf Course, and Lado Sarai areas in Saket.HVDS and transformer maintenance will cause power disruptions in Sangam Vihar (Talimabad) and DMS Trust areas in Khanpur, as well as Habitpur village in Jafarpur, Mohan Garden (Bhagwati Garden, Laxmi Vihar), Paschim Vihar Block GH-14 in Nangloi, Munirka Enclave in R.K. Puram, and Rajpur Khurd village in Chhatarpur.
Power cut Timings
Power outages will vary by area, lasting two to four hours between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. BRPL states that these periodic inspections and repairs of transformers, feeders, and circuits improve system reliability, preventing breakdowns, fires, and prolonged outages, ultimately ensuring a better and safer power supply.
The power company urges consumers to limit essential electronic device usage and prepare alternatives before the temporary power outage on February 28th.
