Going by the cut-offs, the students' lack of interest in Commerce courses has been evident as most of the colleges closed admissions in general category of several Arts courses while Commerce saw only countable closed slots.

Hindu College, a north campus college, has closed admission for most of its Arts courses, however the college has vacant seats available in B.A. Economics (H) at 97.75 per cent marks. For B. Com. (H) the cut-off percentage is 97.25 per cent.A

In the third cut-off, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) has closed admission for B.A. (H) Economics for general category students, though the seats are available in EWS category at 97.25 and in Kashmiri Migrant category at 92.25 per cent.

The college had set 98 per cent as cut-off for B.Com. (H) in the second cut-offs and has reduced it only by 0.25 per cent, setting the cut-off at 97.75 per cent for B. Com. (H) in the third list.

At Lady Shri Ram College, seats are still available in B.A. Economics (Honours), B.Com (Honours) while most of the Arts courses like Political science, English, Hindi, History, Sanskrit, and Journalism were closed for general category students.

However the college still has seats in B. Com (Honours) for general category students who have 97.75 per cent or more in their best-of-four subjects.

The second highest applicants-to-seats ratio was for B.A. (Honours) Sociology, with 1,11,988 applicants for 483 seats in 10 colleges. However top colleges like Hindu, Miranda and Maitreyi had seats for general category in Sociology (Honours).

For a student to get into Hindu College would require at least 97 per cent, Miranda announced 96.25 per cent as the cut-off for general category students.

As per reports, over 60 per cent of seats have been filled under the first and second cut-off lists. As the marks needed for admission are expected to lower, many students who have already reserved a seat are expected to shift colleges.
