Financial inclusion is Fin Min's theme for R Day tableau

The tableau of Department of Financial Services, under the Ministry of Finance, in this year's Republic Day parade will depict the achievements made in the area of financial inclusion which have been recognized world-wide.

'The cornerstone of financial inclusion efforts was the launch of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) to provide affordable banking services to all, especially the poor and women,' a senior government officer said.

The front portion of the tableau will depicts the joy derived by common people while experiencing the ease and accessibility of cost-effective digital payment, the officer said.

The central part of the tableau will showcases that banks have reached even the remote rural areas through branches, ATMs and Business Correspondents (BCs).

The digital tree with Bhim UPI, RuPay card and others, is the pivot of banking system in India.

'The rear portion of the tableau will highlight contribution of various micro-insurance schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), and Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) in providing credit to small and micro enterprises and Digital payment modes at small merchants throughout the country,' the officer added.

Side panels of the tableau are displaying the Jan Dhan account, Aadhaar and mobile in the hands of common man. 'People of different socio-economic realms from all over the country on both sides of the tableaux will be seen enjoying the benefits of banking and financial services,' the officer added.
