A major fire erupted in the Kanawani slum area under the Indirapuram police station limits on Thursday April  16, prompting a swift response from fire and district authorities. As per the Ghaziabad District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar Mandar, the blaze affected a cluster of around 150 slum dwellings in Kanawani village, where scrap-related work was being carried out.

Firefighting operations were immediately launched, with multiple teams and seven fire tenders deployed to extinguish the blaze and prevent its spread. Authorities have called an ambulance to the spot and will address any missing person reports. The situation is now under control.

The situation is under control, with no reports of missing persons or casualties. Further assessment of the affected area will be conducted if any missing persons reports are received. 

Earlier, a famous decoration materials unit located in Mumbai's Goregaon West area was engulfed in a massive fire on Thursday, April 16. According to the information, the blaze erupted at around 9.30 am in a shop located on the Link Road near Bangur Nagar Metro Station. 

Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) initially declared Level Fire I and brought it under control. However, Metro services at Bangur Nagar Metro Station remained unaffected. Meanwhile, traffic on the Link Road was disrupted as fire engines were parked on the raod and engaged in a dousing operation.

A video shared by an eyewitness shows huge clouds of smoke blowing from the structure seen from afar. Traffic congestion is reported near the Bangur Nagar signal due to a fire incident. 

The fire erupted at the Nidhi Decorator unit located in Motilal Nagar No. 2, opposite D-Mart. No injuries or casualties reported in the incident. It remains unclear how the fire broke out. An investigation will be conducted after the cooling operations.
