A massive fire broke out in a peanut warehouse in Surendranagar, Gujarat, on Thursday, March 6, destroying stocks worth crores. The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation. After receiving distress calls from locals, emergency services and district officials rushed to the site and began firefighting operations.

To control the blaze, firefighter officials used JCBs to break through the warehouse walls and shutters. After two hours of continuous efforts, the fire was largely brought under control.

Fire at Peanut Warehouse in Surendranagar

Fortunately, no workers or employees were present in the warehouse, as it was early morning, so there were no casualties. However, lakhs of rupees in stock were lost, and the warehouse manager will account for the damage. Mamlatdar N.R. Patel and other officials reached the scene, and further investigation is underway.
