Haryana: A shocking incident of crime, police arrested a man for allegedly strangling his wife to death with her scarf following a domestic dispute. This crime took place at their rented accommodation in Shadipur village in Haryana on May 3, 2026 Sunday.
According to PTI report, police arrested the accused husband identified Santosh Kumar a man here for allegedly strangling his wife to death and authorities are investigating the matter. Accused after committing the crime he wandered for nearly two days with his two minor sons and planned to commit suicide along with them, said police.
In Beed, Maharashtra, Mahesh Somase allegedly tried to burn his two young daughters (4 and 5) with diesel after his wife, Ashwini, refused to return home. The incident occurred in Lahamewadi, Majalgaon. Ashwini was staying at her maternal home after a domestic quarrel. Mahesh arrived with their daughters, demanding Ashwini's return.

When she suggested mediation, he threatened to burn the girls, pouring diesel on them and attempting to light them. A relative, Asaram Chincholkar, intervened, stopping him. Mahesh fled, threatening to kill Ashwini and her family if she didn't return. A case has been registered against Mahesh Somase.
