Bihar Horror: Husband Allegedly Kills Wife Days Before First Wedding Anniversary

A horrific incident of crime has came to light in the Vaishali district of Bihar were husband allegedly strangled his wife to death just before their first wedding anniversary. The incident occurred in Ratanpura village, located within the jurisdiction of the Bhagwanpur Police Station in Vaishali district. The deceased woman has been identified as Lakshmi Kumari. Her husband, Shubham Raj, stands accused of her murder.

Lakshmi's brother, Deepak Kumar, stated that his sister had gotten married on May 8th of last year. Her first wedding anniversary was due to fall within the next four days. According to Deepak's allegations, Shubham Raj was involved in an illicit relationship with a neighboring woman, and this issue frequently led to arguments between the couple. Several attempts were made to resolve the dispute through community mediation (Panchayat); however, the situation failed to improve.

According to information provided by the family, Lakshmi constantly opposed her husband's illicit relationship, which created a perpetual atmosphere of tension within the household. Ultimately, this dispute cost her her life. While providing details regarding the case, Sadar SDPO (Sub-Divisional Police Officer) Gopal Mandal stated that the police had received information regarding the suspicious death of a woman in Ratanpura village. Upon receiving this information, the police rushed to the scene, took custody of the body, and initiated an investigation.

The police summoned a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team to the scene to collect evidence. The body has been sent to a hospital for a post-mortem examination. Preliminary investigations suggest a strong suspicion that this was a case of murder. Currently, the police are investigating the matter from all angles. This incident has left everyone deeply shocked and has created a sensation throughout the entire locality.
