A shocking incident unfolded in front of DAV School in Sector-15 area of Haryana's Sonipat on Sunday, March 9, when a heated social media dispute escalated into a physical altercation. A viral video of the incident shows a woman being dragged on the bonnet of a moving car for several meters.
According to the police, an argument between some youths over a social media platform Instagram comment turned into a violent confrontation. On Sunday, a group attempted to attack a boy, prompting his mother to intervene and protect him. However, the enraged youths ignored her presence and started their car. The woman, in an attempt to stop them, fell onto the bonnet. Despite this, the driver sped away instead of stopping.
Hanging while holding the windshield wiper to save herself, the woman remained on the bonnet as the vehicle moved at high speed. She finally managed to jump off when the car slowed down slightly. Fortunately, she escaped serious injuries, but the terrifying ordeal has left the community in shock. A bystander recorded the incident and shared it on social media, triggering widespread anger. Many are demanding swift action against the accused.

Local police station in-charge Savita Kumar confirmed that a case has been registered and an investigation is underway. "We have identified the culprits and they will be arrested soon," she said.
