The district administration of Gautam Buddha Nagar has issued a notification asking all schools in the district to change school timings due to rising temperatures and heatwave conditions in Uttar Pradesh.
Change in school timings came into effect from Monday, April 27, asking all schools, including aided, non-aided, government, private, affiliated with CBSE, ICSE, IB, UP board and other institutions, to function from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
The revised schedule has been implemented with student health and safety as the priority and will remain in force until further notice. The administration has instructed all institutions to ensure strict compliance with the order.

Severe heat continues to grip North India and the Delhi-NCR region. In most parts of NCR, high temperatures from early morning made it difficult for people to step out. As the mercury rose, residents faced discomfort throughout the day. The maximum temperature was recorded at 42.8°C, which is 5.1 degrees above normal and 0.9 degrees higher than the previous day.
