Himachal to upgrade Ayush hospitals, dispensaries

To promote ayurveda healthcare, the Himachal Pradesh Cabinet on Friday approved a policy to provide cost effective Ayush services by upgrading Ayush hospitals and dispensaries.

It is the first time that the government has come up with Himachal Pradesh State Ayush Policy that envisages attractive incentives to prospective investors in Ayush and wellness sector, a government spokesperson told .

The important incentives are capital subsidy on Ayush therapy units at the rate of 25 per cent of fixed capital investment with a ceiling of Rs 1 crore, excluding cost of land, interest subvention of four per cent on term loan with ceiling of Rs 15 lakh per annum and net SGST reimbursement at the rate of 75 per cent for seven years.

The Cabinet, presided over by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, also gave its nod to make the state a most favoured investment destination for information technology (IT), and IT enabled service companies.

It also gave its nod to the Affordable Housing Policy, 2019 and to revised guidelines for the tourism department for issuance of essentiality certificates under the Himachal Pradesh Tenancy and Land Reforms Rules in cases where a non-agriculturist wishes to purchase land for setting up tourism units.

The Cabinet gave its consent to establish Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) to regulate and promote real estate sector in the state. It also gave its consent to create 46 posts of different categories, including its chairman and members.
