A tragic accident occurred in Chikmagalur , Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus carrying 40 passengers crashed into the roof of a house in Jaldurga village. Fortunately, there were no casualties were reported. As per the information received bus, which was going from Chikmagalur to Sringeri, skidded due to the slippery road due to rain near Jayapura in Koppa taluka and crashed directly into the roof of a house.

In this accident, the bus driver and a passenger were seriously injured, while the other passengers suffered minor injuries. The injured are undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital. The video of this incident is currently going viral on social media.

The accident damaged the house's roof. Locals assisted in rescuing the injured and transporting them to the hospital. Some residents alleged that excessive speed and poor maintenance of the old bus caused the accident. Police initiated relief and rescue operations upon receiving news of the incident. Jayapura police have registered a case, and the injured are receiving hospital treatment. A video depicting the accident's severity has emerged.
