KOPPAL, Karnataka (November 28, 2024): A bus carrying 60 school students and seven teachers overturned near Pragathi Nagar village in Gangavathi taluk on Thursday. The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus was en route to Hampi from Gurmitkal when it suddenly lost control and fell into a ditch along the road. 

While four students sustained minor injuries, both the students and teachers managed to escape unharmed.  The incident occurred within the limits of the Gangavathi rural police station when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle.

According to regional media reports, local residents quickly reached the spot, rescued those trapped, and rushed them to the Gangavathi Government Hospital for treatment. Police and transport officials have arrived at the scene, arranged a replacement bus, and are ensuring the students continue their journey.
