Karnataka Dog Attack: 3-Year-old Attacked and Drag By Stray Dog in Vijayapura (Watch Video)

Amid rising concerns over increasing stray dog attacks across the country, another shocking incident has been reported from Vijayapura. A three-year-old boy was allegedly attacked by a stray dog on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 sparking fear and outrage among local residents. A CCTV footage showed three children running on the street. 

Two stray dogs emerged from behind a car, cornering three-year-old Viraj Santosh Biradar after two other children escaped. A dog then grabbed and carried Viraj away in its mouth. As the attack unfolded, a driver witnessed the scene and stopped. A man exited the car and intervened, rescuing the child approximately 30 meters away.

Alerted by the child's screams, other residents armed with sticks chased after the dog. The child is currently hospitalized with injuries to his back and thighs, and the incident has sparked concern in the community.

The disturbing video of stray dog attack surfaced on social media where a two stray dogs attacking a young boy on a quiet residential street. The clips shows child being chased by a dogs, while he his screaming for help by calling Papa. This video has triggered a concern among the locals.  According to reports, this incident occurred in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

The child fell to the ground, defenseless and crying for help, as the dogs continued their assault. A man intervened, chasing the dogs away and preventing a potentially fatal outcome. It's unclear if the attack was provoked, fueling concern among residents and social media users. The video created a concern about the safety and has demanded stricter action on stray dog management.
