Mohan S. Delkar, 58, the Independent MP from the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli was found hanging in his room in a south Mumbai hotel on Monday afternoon in a case of 'suicide' and the police have recovered a purported 6-page suicide note from the spot. The suicide note apparently mentions names of 40 people, according to the police. The note is written in Gujarati and to translate and understand the note, police has invited an expert and resident of Silvassa.

According to sources, the note has mentioned 'injustice', 'insult' and bias towards him, certain politicians and administrative officials have been held responsible in the note.

While the Marine Drive police have lodged an accident death report, his body has been sent for an autopsy to confirm the exact causes of his death, even as a preliminary probe has been initiated into the case. However the police said that if the note mentions anybody as the cause of death an abetment to suicide case will be registered against them.

At present, the police have not revealed names mentioned in note. After collecting all the information, the police will make a detailed report and send it to the Parliament.
