Chandrakant Singh, a resident of Isarwar village of Kapsethi, has died by hanging to cieling fan in his house. The incident has caused a stir in the entire village. Upon receiving the information, the police immediately rushed to the spot and sent the body for postmortem.

Monu was working as an assistant in a production house in Mumbai. Police have registered a case against 10 persons on the complaint of Monu's uncle. Monu, one of the two children of Balwant Singh, a retired employee of the telephone department in Isarwar village, was working in Mumbai. Due to the Corona crisis, Monu had to return to his home in Varanasi.

Monu Singh's family and the family of Rajkumar Singh, Sunil Kumar, who lives next door, have been having land disputes for the last several years. The neighboring family was building a house on the land within their boundaries and the balcony was removed within the boundaries of Monu’s land. Monu Singh's family had opposed to this. A village panchayat meeting was set up to resolve the issue, after which Rajkumar Singh's family thrashed Monu Singh. Monu Singh was in a state of panic after being beaten in front of the panchayat.

Monu's body was later found hanging from a fan in his room on Tuesday morning. Before hanging himself, Monu wrote the names of 10 people living next door on the wall of the room and held them responsible for the suicide and said that he had taken possession of the land. Police have registered a case against Monu's family and are searching for the accused. Monu's sudden departure came as a shock to his mother.
