Mithun Chakraborty on Tuesday tested COVID-19. The actor who recently joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the West Bengal Assembly polls is currently, under home quarantine.Chakraborty is following necessary covid precautions as per safety amid the pandemic.

The actor-turned-politician was spotted campaigning for BJP candidate Locket Chatterjee who is contesting the Chunchura assembly seat in the ongoing West Bengal elections.

He was recently booked for flouting safety norms amid the pandemic with his election rally at Baishnabnagar assembly constituency in the Malda district of the state. His rally witnessed more than 500 attendees.
