In a heart breaking incident, a mother-daugther duo died due to covid within 12 hours in Kota district of Rajasthan.

The daughter died while setting fire to her mother's pyre. The girl was B.Tech. Degree holder. The whole family was busy in preparations of her wedding. Due to the pandemic, the family had fixed daughter's wedding in November.

Former Sarpanch Kanhaiya Lal's wife died of a heart attack two years ago. At the same time, his son Badrilal (47) died of a heart attack a year ago.

Daughter-in-law Badribai (age 45), 3 grandchildren survived in the family. The family has been since happy for months. Because recently granddaughter Sangita (age 25) was getting married.

Sangeeta had studied B Tech Civil Engineering from Jaipur. Her marriage was postponed until November due to pandemic. Sangeeta's mother Badribai was busy preparing for the wedding. The former sarpanch had arranged wedding-hall, sweets and many other things for his grand daughter's wedding. She was supposed to get married on November 21 at Kota.

Sangeeta's mother Badribai had gone for wedding shopping a month ago. When she returned, she fell ill. She was admitted to a private hospital in Kota for treatment. Sangeeta was also in the hospital. The girl's health also deteriorated after few days. The mother daughter duo were admitted to Medical College Hospital. Daughter Sangeeta had a CT score of 19.

The mother's report came negative three to four days ago, but both were on oxygen support. Mother died on Tuesday night at 8 o'clock. The next day, the family brought the dead body to the village for the last rites. It was not even two hours after the funeral of the mother that news of the daughter's death came. Daughter Sangeeta succumbed at the Medical College Hospital during treatment.
